Dirty Billionaire Trilogy by Meghan March
Fa La La La Laaa & Happy Holidays!
It's been a while since I've done an actual book review and I'm quite excited, how about you?
This is a trilogy series called, Dirty Billionaire, written by Meghan March. I would classify this trilogy as Erotic Romance due to its content. So before we go any further.......
CAUTION IF YOU ARE UNDER 18!
Okay, now that is out there let's proceed!
I've got a big... ego and an even bigger bank account. That's pretty much where my bio ends. Honestly, I don't need to say anything else. I've just sold 99% of women on going home with me. Do I sound like a jerk to you? That's because I am. And guess what? It works for me just fine. Or at least it did. Until I met her. Books talk about sparks flying. Screw that. With her, it was like emergency flares mixed with jet fuel. Or maybe just straight up napalm. Only one problem. She wouldn't tell me her name or her number when she disappeared from the hotel room after the hottest night of my life. Now I've had a taste of the perfect woman and I need it again. So what's a jerk to do? I took this problem to the street. A missed connection gone viral. And when I find her? I'm keeping her.
Minimal Spoiler Review:
The main characters are Holly "Wix" Wickman and Creighton Karas. Miss Holly is a country music star on the rise in Nashville, and she is signed under the record label, Homegrown. While Mr. Karas is a, well, billionaire self-made businessman in New York City, and just about every woman wants him; shocking right?? No.
We begin the story with Holly in a tough spot. She has her life now in front of the lens as she rises to fame, and the biggest reason she is getting PR is due to the cheating boyfriend she was set up with by the record label. And not just any cheating is going on...her boyfriend -according to rumors- is playing for the other side. So in the spirit of being a rising star, you put up with stuff to make it where you want to go, and well Holly is no different. Until she devises a plan that she thought was foolproof and discreet. She sets out to the big apple to find her a special someone to celebrate Christmas with.
Throughout this trilogy, Holly had moments where I wanted to rip my hair out and shake her. She made hasty decisions, some that were something I would do, and others that left me perplexed. Across the three books, I felt frustration for her character seeing her problems mount before her eyes, but it was counteracted with her love of building her career. Holly is a very relatable character because of the way her roots are planted and how she reacts to problems she is faced with.
Now Creighton is a handful to grasp all through the first book. However, over the second and third, he grew on me. There were points in the story where he was overbearing and waaaay too possessive for my tastes but I stuck through it and let's just say, as a reader I'm content in his growth. He is very much the spoiled rich boy who can have what he wants, when he wants it, and whoever he asks to do it will do it no questions asked. Creighton exercised this thought process thoroughly and the biggest reality check for him was Holly. I appreciated the balance of power in this story the most between the two of them. I wish there was one more book.
I would recommend this trilogy to anyone who loves erotic romance. I am not encouraging anyone under 18 to read this story. I would say the adult scenes in this book are spicier than what is seen on tv, so keep that in mind as well if you are a reader interested in this series.
